These Terms of Use explain the rules for using Copybook Club. By using the app, you agree
to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
1. Overview
Copybook Club is a Chinese handwriting worksheet generator for iPad and iPhone.
It helps you create worksheets from your own text, imported files, photos, DOCX documents,
or built-in word packs, preview them, export clean A4 PDFs, and practice handwriting on iPad
with Apple Pencil.
The app is intended for personal study, handwriting practice, printing, and class preparation.
2. App license and acceptable use
You may use Copybook Club for lawful personal, educational, and teaching-related purposes.
You agree not to misuse the app or use it in a way that interferes with its normal operation.
- do not attempt to reverse engineer, modify, or tamper with the app except where allowed by law;
- do not use the app to create, import, save, export, or distribute unlawful, harmful, or infringing content;
- do not attempt to bypass paid features, usage limits, subscriptions, or purchase mechanisms;
- do not use the app in a way that violates applicable laws, third-party rights, or App Store rules.
Copybook Club is distributed through the Apple App Store and is licensed, not sold.
Unless a separate custom license agreement is provided, your use of the app is also subject
to Apple’s Standard EULA and applicable App Store terms.
3. Your text, imported files, and worksheets
You are responsible for the text, files, photos, images, DOCX documents, and other content
that you enter, paste, import, save, export, or otherwise use in Copybook Club.
You should only use content that you have the right or permission to use.
Copybook Club may generate worksheets from user-provided text, imported content, recognized text,
and built-in word packs. Exported PDFs and saved practice files are intended for your personal study,
handwriting practice, class preparation, or teaching use.
You control where exported PDFs, saved practice files, screenshots, recordings, or other files are
stored or shared after export or saving.
4. File import and recognition
Copybook Club may allow you to import Chinese from PDFs, selected photos or images, and DOCX files.
The app can recognize Chinese characters from supported imported content and place the result into
editable text before worksheet generation.
Recognition results may be incomplete, incorrect, or affected by file quality, image clarity,
layout, handwriting, lighting, contrast, or other factors. You are responsible for reviewing and
editing recognized text before creating, saving, printing, or sharing a worksheet.
Copybook Club is not responsible for errors in recognized text, worksheet content, imported files,
or any consequences of relying on unreviewed recognition results.
5. Worksheet modes and practice features
Copybook Club includes worksheet modes and practice features such as Learn mode, Practice mode,
Word Packs, worksheet customization, PDF export, Apple Pencil practice on iPad, and optional stroke order
in supported worksheets.
Stroke order is provided as a worksheet practice aid. It is not handwriting grading, handwriting correction,
personalized feedback, a stroke order checker, or a guarantee that your handwriting is correct.
Some features, settings, limits, fonts, palettes, stroke order access, import limits, worksheet length,
or export options may vary by app version, device, operating system, free tier, or Pro status.
6. Free tier
Copybook Club may offer a free tier with limited worksheet generation and selected free features.
In the current version, the free tier may include:
- limited worksheet generations per week;
- limited worksheet length;
- selected free worksheet settings, fonts, and practice options;
- clean PDF export;
- Apple Pencil practice on iPad for created worksheets;
- limited access to selected premium or advanced worksheet features where applicable.
Free limits, reset timing, available free settings, and included free features may change in future versions.
7. Pro features
Copybook Club Pro unlocks additional features for users who want more regular or flexible
worksheet practice. Pro may include:
- unlimited or expanded worksheet generation, subject to reasonable technical limits;
- longer worksheets and more customization options;
- more character sizes, repetitions, rows, and worksheet settings;
- premium handwriting fonts, including a new premium font where available;
- additional Apple Pencil color palettes;
- expanded access to premium worksheet features, such as extended stroke order support where applicable;
- future premium fonts and features, if and when they become available.
Future premium fonts and features are not guaranteed until they are actually available in the app.
Pro feature packaging, limits, and availability may change in future versions.
8. Paid features, subscriptions, and purchases
Copybook Club may offer paid features, subscriptions, or one-time purchases through Apple’s App Store
and StoreKit / In-App Purchase system.
Purchases are processed only through Apple’s App Store and StoreKit / In-App Purchase system.
Copybook Club does not offer external payment methods in the current release and does not receive
or store your payment card number or banking details.
Pricing, billing, renewals, cancellations, and refunds are handled according to Apple’s App Store
rules and your Apple account settings. The app includes a “Restore Purchases” option to restore
eligible purchases through Apple’s purchase systems.
Subscription management, cancellations, and refund requests are handled through your Apple account
and App Store settings.
9. Built-in word packs
Built-in HSK and themed word packs are provided for convenience and handwriting practice.
They are not a full curriculum, full Chinese course, exam preparation program, or guarantee
of any test result.
Word packs may be updated, corrected, expanded, reorganized, or removed in future app versions.
10. Apple Pencil practice and saved practice files
Apple Pencil practice is available on iPad for worksheets you create in the app.
The basic pencil style is available for practice, and additional Apple Pencil color palettes
may be included with Copybook Club Pro.
You may clear your Apple Pencil practice and leave without saving, or save your filled Apple Pencil
practice as a separate file. The original clean worksheet and the filled practice file are handled
separately.
You are responsible for managing, exporting, storing, backing up, sharing, or deleting saved practice
files after you choose to save them. Files saved, shared, moved, backed up, or exported using Apple
or third-party system features may be governed by those services’ settings and terms.
11. Local notifications
Copybook Club may offer optional local reminders, such as practice reminders or free worksheet reset
reminders. These reminders are local notifications scheduled on your device.
You can manage notification permissions in the app where available and in your iOS or iPadOS settings.
Copybook Club does not guarantee that local notifications will always appear at a particular time,
because delivery may depend on your device settings, operating system behavior, Focus modes,
notification permissions, and other system conditions.
12. No guarantees of learning outcomes
Copybook Club is a worksheet generator and handwriting practice tool. It does not guarantee that you
will improve your handwriting, learn Chinese, pass an HSK exam, or achieve any specific learning result.
The app does not provide full language instruction, handwriting grading, handwriting correction,
personalized learning assessment, professional educational evaluation, or guaranteed stroke order mastery.
13. App availability and changes
We may update, improve, change, suspend, or remove app features from time to time.
Future features mentioned on the website, in the app, or in marketing materials are not guaranteed
unless they are actually available in the current app version.
We aim to keep Copybook Club useful and reliable, but we do not guarantee that the app will always
be available, error-free, or compatible with every device, operating system version, printer, PDF viewer,
document type, imported file, handwriting workflow, or classroom workflow.
14. Support and bug reports
You can contact support at support@copybookclub.app.
If you send a bug report or support email, please include enough detail to help us understand the issue.
We will try to respond and help where reasonably possible, but we do not guarantee immediate support
or that every issue can be fixed.
15. Privacy
Your use of Copybook Club is also governed by our
Privacy Policy. Please review it to understand how the app handles local data,
imported files, on-device recognition, saved practice files, local notifications, support emails,
Apple Pencil practice, StoreKit purchases, and App Store-related flows.
16. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
Copybook Club is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis, to the extent permitted by applicable law.
We do not promise that the app will meet every need, work without interruption, recognize every file perfectly,
or produce a perfect result in every situation.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, Copybook Club and its developer will not be liable for indirect,
incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the app.
17. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make changes, we will update the “Last updated”
date at the top of this page.
